Level 1- Beginner
New to Volleyball - Previous Rec or YMCA Experience
If your child is wanting to learn more about volleyball, you are in the right place! We offer comprehensive, high-level training from Day 1 at Volleyballer.
Our definition of "beginner" will range from having never touched a volleyball, to having played on a beginner level team for less than 1 year or 2 seasons. Our beginner programming is open to girls and boys. In our Level 1 programming we break down each fundamental skill and teach them in detail how to perform the skill properly. Many athletes participate in our Beginner training for 1-2 semesters before progressing to Level 2 Intermediate Programming and team play programs. If your athlete has played on recreation or YMCA teams, we generally like to have them start with learning fundamentals in Level 1. If you feel your athlete has mastered beginner skills and is ready for the Intermediate level programming, please set up a time for a free skills evaluation by clicking here. See the Level 1 Beginner calendar below for days and times our training takes place. |

About Level 1: Beginner Development Classes:
Our Level 1 - 16 Week Training Program includes two 8 week terms each semester. Athletes may join at any time during the semester. These comprehensive classes are designed for young athletes who are learning the skills needed to play volleyball. Players will learn the fundamentals—serving, passing, setting, and movement, through age-appropriate drills and guided play.
The focus is on building confidence, coordination, and a solid skill foundation in a supportive, encouraging environment. Coaches emphasize proper technique, teamwork, and having fun while learning.
We have ages broken out into 2 classes & we limit the number of spots each term to ensure the ideal learning environment for young athletes.
